“FABSLIMTOX” amazing weight loss story – IFEDOLAPO TOWOBOLA

Hello peeps, welcome to another segment of diet reviews.

 The fabslimtox diet is very much like the maple syrup diet made popular by beyonce, but it has different components. 

I heard about it first from nelly agbogu's blog ( http://www.itwillendinpraise.com/ )  and I decided to share it with you all.

HER STORY:

I started my to battle fat since 1999, I used to weigh 142kg, I use to be a size 26-28,

I tried all sorts, worked out in gym, but all in vain.

So In 2009, I did a lot of workout in d gym, for 6months, and I lost 12kg but still not satisfied,

Because I was still an obese,

Because my BMI should be 80kg,

After all I did and my effort, I was still in pain because I haven’t achieved my goal,

Because I have spent most of my life savings on trying to lose weight,

So I gave up, started eating back,

Then I decided to try again,

I tried d maple syrup diet for 2 weeks and I lost 7 kg but gained it back in less than 4 days ,

Because I realize that maple syrup diet you only lose water you don’t lose fat,

Then my sister introduced me to a syrup called Mexican syrup,

It is a fresh organic drink.

Mexican syrup is not a popular syrup, because it’s very expensive,

Its d stronger version of maple syrup, Mexican syrup is not a branded product,

Because it’s very expensive, but it is very healthy, and it’s a fastest way of losing weight (at least I have seen so far),

It contains ,unprocessed asian palm syrups, un processed agave mexican syrup and also un processed hibiscus syrup (unlike regular processed syrup with zero nutritional value, this is harvested from d tree without harming the tree). No preservatives and no chemical processes. 

So when I tried it for d first 2 weeks I lost 15kg,

Then I did another 2 weeks I lost additional 12kg by the time I finished on d 8 week,

I lost 42kg, I have been so happy because I achieved my goal in just 2months,

And 15men presently am 84kg and am thankful,

HOW FABSLIMTOX WORKS

The low carb diet.......naija style

Greetings people, this segment reviews trending diets and weightloss methods that have worked for real life individuals living in Nigeria and its communities.

The low carb diet naija style involves cutting out most carbohydrates from your diet, that's to say eliminate-;
 rice, yam, garri, all swallows(semi,wheat,amala etc),beans(no,it isn't a protein! When in doubt google😜), bread,ripe plantain, fruit etc.

Acceptable meals when on this diet are;
- fish pepper soup 
- fish
-suya
-skinless chicken
-Unripe plantain 
-snails
-eggs
-asun
- lots of water

Beans can be introduced later in the diet, say a month after starting because it contains protein and keeps you full for longer.

This isn't a quick fix diet but with persistence and determination, you will get results.
Don't forget to exercise when you can and if you don't have time, find a way to chip in some- use the stairs and not the elevator, walk short distances instead of driving ( invest in sunscreen if you are worried about getting dark), don't send your househelp,siblings or spouse so much! Get up and DIY. 
I know it's easier said than done but trust me it is totally doable.

Hi people,it's been a while o. Somewhere along the way I lost my login details hence my reason for being MIA!!! Anyways I am glad to be back. It's almost a year since I started this blog and I set goals to be achieved within the year, am sad to announce that I am no where near those goals (chai). Well I am in the process of damage control, so hopefully I'll have some good news by the time this blog is a year. Update so far

What's up all.......yea I took a loooooong break, that's why I haven't been blogging of late. There have been so much going on but no excuse is valid enough for my hiatus. Well I have been thinking a lot about my battles especially the weight lose aspect and I discovered something - A Cycle !!!! I start out all gingered up, very enthusiastic and motivated usually towards the end of the year. I'll be so dedicated and determined to loose weight,then 3 months down the line I relax and slack off till the end of the new year . Hmmmp!

I have decided to break that cycle and regain power.....yes power to meet my goals once and for all....whew. So help me God.

I have enlisted the help of the shrinkers,silk&purple,nelly etc

Still keeping the details of my new diet regime under wraps.

Will keep you posted as i proceed and when I start to see results by the end of this month. Fingers crossed.

Been long

Been long you saw me........
Been long I blogged......
Well it's a little over a month and I feel bad( lol ). I have a confession - i've been badddd, I succumbed to almost all the cravings I managed to suppress for the last 3 months. Whew, am glad that phase of my weight loss journey is over.
So I weighed myself this morning and I gained 2.5kg....well it's not so bad to me because I expected worse......hehehe.
Yeah there are a couple of reasons why I think i went off my diet (not sharing😝) ,other times i was totally clueless. But most importantly, i think I am back on track . I Started my day with lime in warm water,green tea and a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar. Also had some watermelon and cucumber . All these in a bid to cleanse my system ( I hope it works).

Learning to say no !!!!!

Let me start by saying - I can do this !!!!! So help me God.

Today at home everyone decided to have a different dinner, not just that but mouth watering and fattening food.

Today's dinner consisted of
Fried dodo n sweet beans
Indomine and fried eggs
Jollof rice n BBQ chicken

You can imagine the assault on my nose . It took a lot of will power for me to say no and fight the urge to taste one spoon. I am so proud of myself I decided to blog about it *widegrin*

Settled for an avocado,pineapple,carrot and apple smoothie.......yummy.
P.s - my first smoothie, will definitely do more of this.



Vacation and weight loss


Vacation and weight loss are like the north pole and south pole coming together . That was why I was so worried I would gain back the small weight I managed to loose,when I go on my vacation.I figured that Pounds still count on vacations. So my target was to maintain my current weight during the trip and engage in active fun activities like shopping,swimming and dancing *wink*
I was able to watch my intake for the first few days, then I decided to indulge smartly #not ( can't mention what I indulged in oooo *runsoffinshame*) henceforth I swam it off, hiked it off, danced it off and shopped it off *whew* could walk for four hour straight in the name of shopping.
What was the verdict ? You may ask........I lost 1kg *whopwhop* . So happy, will reveal my new weight on my next weigh-in post later this month.

Monthly weigh-in

Hello peeps, so today would make it the 11th week into my weight loss journey.

So far it's been fun and rewarding, though progress has been slow (I blame December ) but I believe that slow and steady wins the race.

Oh well i weighed myself today and i wasn't very impressed because i expected more :( . I now weigh 114.10kg compared to my starting weight of 122kg. That's a difference of 7.9kg. I'm soooo sad, I thought I would have lost at least 13kg by now. I am yet to measure myself, to know if I have lost inches off my frame (hopefully ) I will keep you posted.

Anyhoo, I saw this picture on instagram and I thought to share it because it makes a lot of sense, also it motivates me to keep pushing, no matter how slow my weight loss is. " it took weeks,months or even years to gain this weight, so don't expect it to disappear overnight, it's not magic"
One major thing I have learnt is my diet is 80% of the work and exercise is 20%. If I don't eat clean, I am wasting my time.

Cleaning out your closet......literally


Hello everyone, this is the third week in the new year(time flies right?) and another week to get it right!!! The frenzy about your new year resolution might have simmered down, don't sweat it because we should take one day at a time- no drastic measures! One should adopt a step by step approach to embracing a healthier lifestyle and dropping the pounds. One major step is to clear your cupboards and rid your house of fatting foods,snacks and drinks (yes, including the hampers). Give them out !!!
Next step- go shopping for healthier options of the things you love.
Here are some tips on shopping and some things you should have in your shopping basket, to make your diet more successful .


Healthier Shopping Tips:

-never go hungry… you will end up with all the wrong stuff in your basket!
-never buy anything labeled fat free. this only means they’ve added tons more sugar and in the end is even worse for you.
-Don’t listen to the “made with whole grain/whole wheat” labels on boxes and breads. Unless it is labeled 100%, the actual product will only contain a small percentage of whole grain/wheat product.
-Skip artificial sweeteners and try to shop for sweetened with Stevia or unsweetened and then use your own.
-If you’ve decided to “treat” yourself, don’t buy a whole package or box of cookies because after you’ve treated yourself to it, you will be left with a whole box to tempt you. Instead, buy a single serving option.

Generic Grocery List:
Veggies: Easier to buy frozen because they last longer, but fresh is fine as well
broccoli
Cucumber
Cabbage
Spinach– always better fresh

Carbs:

Brown Rice– uncle bens instant is the easiest!
Rice cakes— the 35 calorie kind that are usually just lightly salted
sweet potatoes
Quick oats— not from the individual package
Wheat bread (if you must have bread)
beans(not baked beans o)

Fats:

olive oil
Peanut butter— never buy fat free watch for sodium and sugar- less than 3 grams is good
avocado
Hummus

Protein:

Chicken breast
Extra lean ground turkey breast
lean ground beef but only once or twice per week
tilapia
egg whites– liquid or you can crack them yourself
Tuna

Miscellaneous:

Green tea
Almond milk unsweetened 30 calorie
greek yogurt 0% fat free no flavors because it has too much sugar
unsweetened green tea
Fat Free cottage cheese

Before and After

This post is to prove that Healthy eating and exercise does work to keep you trim and fit.no gimmicks,no shortcuts,no fad diet or miracle drug. These are pictures of people I know personally, who have lost weight and kept it off the right way. These pictures have kept me motivated and reminds me of the fact that it's doable. Like my mother used to say "those people doing it, do they have two heads"

Having picked their brains as to how they lost the weight, I will implement their methods but most importantly I will find what works best for me. Hopefully one or two of them would be guest writers on my blog :) and share in detail on how they lost it and kept it off!
